Professional Learning Training Courses

WJEC's Professional Learning (PL) programme is designed to help teachers improve standards in the classroom and deliver our specifications in the most effective way.

WJEC offers face-to-face PL courses in order to review internal and external assessment and to introduce new specifications. The courses are facilitated by WJEC's subject officers and moderators.

Online Exam Review (OER)

WJEC’s Online Exam Review website is an interactive teaching and learning tool based on actual responses to exam tasks. Bringing together questions, exemplar material, marking schemes and examiner comments online, it is particularly useful in the classroom.

It may be used to provide further support for particular tasks identified through the Exam Results Analysis facility.

Exam Results Analysis (ERA)

This facility allows teachers to compare the performance of individual students and the centre's entry as a whole with that of all WJEC candidates for a particular qualification. The data may also be exported into other applications for further analysis and reporting purposes. It is a useful means for teachers to discover where students have performed well and to identify which areas may need further support.

Access to ERA for specific centres is via the WJEC secure website, and is restricted to that centre's staff only. It is labelled as 'Item Level Data' and can be found under the Results tab.
